Instead of adding to someones elses thread, I have decided to start my own. If you have any questions regarding my post please feel free to ask me any question(s).

1) Here is a picture of the RCA board that I used.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b247/DJKnowledge777/Turntable%20Case%20Mod/FlightCaseMod1.jpg

2) Now here is a set of RCA cables soldered to the RCA board. The turntable male RCA cables will plug directly into the femal RCA plugs.

3) Here is the plastic jackplate that I used to house the soldered RCA board. I used a dremble to cut into the t-table flight case and I also used the dremble to cut the jackplate to make it smaller. Then I used Gorilla Glue to glue the jackplate to the t-table flight case.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b247/DJKnowledge777/Turntable%20Case%20Mod/FlightCaseMod3.jpg

4) Here is the end result. I also used the same concept for the power plug.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b247/DJKnowledge777/Turntable%20Case%20Mod/FlightCaseMod19.jpg

5) Here is both t-table flight cases hooked up.

The next step is to mod the mixer case with a jack plate that contains a power port for the mixer and Serato box plus rca's for both turntables. I just have to find the time to research power ports for the type of mixer I have as well the power port for the type of mixer I have. I want to use the original power adapter that came with the mixer.

Thats pretty sick! How did you do the power for the turntables?

Here is a picture of the inside of the case. The wires for power are soldered onto the end of the power receptacle. The RCA's are soldered onto the end of the RCA jacks.

Just a closer look inside the case.

Now the male turntable RCA's are plugged into the female RCA plug. The turntable male power receptacle is plugged into the female power plug. This way, I can easily swap out the turntable if needed.

Here is a picture of the power receptacle. If I had to do this again, I would use a 2 prong and not a 3 prong receptacle.

Nice and now you don't stress the RCA on the tables anymore. Easier to replace the cheap adapter vs opening up your tables if they brake. I'm assuming you have the tables grounded internally.

Also where did you order the plates. I usually buy from parts express.

Yes, I did the ground wire mod. I believe I bought the plastic plates from parts express. Buying from them is cheaper than eBay. Setting up is now much faster!

Also the raised circular portion on the back of the plate has to be sanded/cut flush. So instead of cutting a hole, you actually cut a small rectangular square in your flight case.

next time use heat shrink tube to cover the wires where you soldiered.

I used heat shrink tubing as well as covered the heat shrink tubing with electrical tape.

I wasn't able to find them on eBay for some reason...maybe I was searching for the wrong thing..The plates are the only thing I need to do this mod. I've had the other pieces for months.

Very quality job. A lot better than my rig job here (http://www.djforums.com/forums/showthread.php?4523-DJ-Coffin-Mod-for-two-minute-setup-w-leds&highlight=) haha. But my 2000's should be here soon and those I am going individual cases with, so will definitely be doing this. If you are able to provide links or something to help find the materials used it would be much appreciated

Sixty,
For the jackplate you can go to Parts Express
http://www.parts-express.com/term/jackplate?srch=jackplate

or Ebay

Did you get the RCA board and cables from Parts Express also? Is there any type of plate around the power receptacle?

Whiterob - Thanks for the comment. I am sure that you will be successful doing your mod. I don't have any youtube videos or anything but if you need help, just let me knowl.

Stevie - I got the RCA board from Ebay. If you can get them from Parts Express cheaper, I would do so. Also there is no plate around the power receptacle. The way the power receptacle is made, you don't need a plate.

Drewbdo - Setup is really fast! I can setup everything without even having to take the top off the turntable flight case. You should check out my mixer flight case mod too when you get a minute.

To all, the best way to do this mod is to make a template. Take a regular sheet of paper (or cardstock which is better) and trace around the back side of the power recptacle as well as the back side of the jack plate. Then take a pair of scissors and cut the inside of the paper/cardstock out. Then take your template and place it on your turntable flight case. Then take a pencil and go around the inside of your template that you cut out. Once you know that your placement is correct, take a permanent marker and go over the line you made with a pencil. Now you know exactly where to cut. Take your time and cut with a dremel. Be sure to use some shop glasses. I hope this helps. Once you have completed this mod, post up some pics. I would love to see how everyones mod turned out. If you need help, just hit me up. Happy modding!

Now the male turntable RCA's are plugged into the female RCA plug. The turntable male power receptacle is plugged into the female power plug. This way, I can easily swap out the turntable if needed.

Better you use a 3 prong receptacle in any universal sized flight case. Most newer devices use IEC 3 prong for mixers and CD decks (the new Nexus decks for example).

DJzRule - What you stated is true regarding new equipment. But for turntables (specifically the 1200) there is no 3rd prong. The US and European 1200's both have 2 prongs. If you are doing this mod for anything else than Technic turntables, yeah I would definately go with IEC 3 prong.

Before I switched to 1200mk2's my Stanton's had IEC, and I believe the Numark TTX does too. Just food for thought, because you can hook up anything to the other side of that male jack on the case, and since IEC is plentiful in DJ rigs, it'd be nice to have something universal if you need to swap out a bad cable.

I'm just now getting around to this mod. I used locking 1/4" connectors instead of RCA jacks though. My IEC connectors should be in the mail today. Now all I have to do is solder the cables. Once the turntable cases are done. I'll be doing a mixer case mod as well.
