dmx lighting problem

I have 4 martin scx-500's all hooked up to a chauvet dmx-55 controller. The problem occurs with the master light. Its works when being controlled for a few minutes then it stops, and kind of does its own thing switching from 001 to 110. But the rest of them all seem to work fine. I switched around each light and let them be the master, and still get the same problem (also changed all plugs and such). So I know its not the lights. I am new to this DMX stuff. Anything I might be missing here? Or is it just the controller?

Do you have a DMX terminator on the end of the chain?

Here's your problem. Don't have it as a Master control unit if you are using DMX. I don't know why the automated control didn't pick up that it was suppose to be in DMX control mode, this is of course the default setting unless you overrided it causing it to act abnormally.
