lol thats silly especially when using VDJ because you can connect the CDJs straight to the comp without and external soundcards or timecode.

But what if you don't know how to use the pitch controls on a CDJ?

Iron?? Most of it is plastic.

The guy has a Hercules shirt on, and that's a Hercules controller. Do you think that maybe he's a Hercules artist or rep? Just a guess...

I assume you're being facetious here?

All that Pioneer iron being used as a controller and laptop stand.
That's what I'd use it for...

Iron?? Most of it is plastic.

This is true.

I assume you're being facetious here?

I have actually met people who did not know what the pitch fader was for.

I've seen this happen many times. Everyone uses their own equipment, I don't see the big deal. The table is not large enough, he's used to using a controller, needs space, puts controller on CDJs/Mixer. End of story.

If that was my cdj I'd be pretty pissed if some douchenozzle put his controller on top of the platter. How hard is it to unplug it and move it out of the way so dj autosync can fistpump in front of his controller?

The left deck is on jklsdfjklsdf.

Please tell me you're not serious.

Now all you Pioneer fanboys know how Technics diehards feel when walking into a booth and seeing the turntables being used as spot to lay out a bunch of CDs, drinks, etc.

What's wrong with putting two or three CDs on a slipmat?

Point obviously missed.

Umm, nothing I guess... just like there's nothing wrong with putting a controller on CDJs and mixer, right? ;)

This is what decksavers are for.

A controller weighs significantly more than a CD although I suppose your point is putting ANYTHING on top of equipment.

Better yet who turned the EQs up on that mixer in the picture?

How many clubs actually have decksavers?

If that was my CDJs, I'd slap that guy. Now +1 on leaving CDs on a slipmat.

Personally I'd be happy to turn up with some flash drives, CDs and records instead of adding all that clutter on top. Hop on and mix. If you know how to drive, you should be able to drive more than one model of car.

This is what decksavers are for.

unfortunately, gear is still not idiotproof.

yeah i'd slap him for that.

Slap? No way I'd straight up punch him in the fucking head. There's only four things I'm protective about......my food, my car, my kid, and my dj equipment. I'd never let anyone fuck with them.

If people did what DJTT suggested in an article and put a foam pad between their controller and the decks I wouldn't care.
