The ASH-6118WH is a high-powered horn-loaded subwoofer system with an 18" 2242H Super Vented Gap (SVG) low frequency driver. For maximum sensitivity, output level and subwoofer impact, JBL has incorporated a slow-expansion internal folded horn.

This subwoofer can be used alone or in multiple and suits a variety of applications including theaters, auditoriums, performing arts centers, dance clubs and other array installations.

NEW, Never opened, One box is SLIGHTLY opened from the bottom during transportation.

Note they are about 1/3 off retail (assuming that's a legit number) and they're still in boxes.

Now for the numbers... if you follow the spec page link in the text of the ad you find that the real deal here is if you're interested in all 4 boxes because as a horn loaded cabinet, they benefit from coupling. Treating the 4 as a single unit, you end up with a sub that puts out 144db down to 26Hz +/- 3db.

And the club owner will appreciate that he can get that type of power with a relatively small power draw saving money on the electric bill. The combined boxes are rated at 3200w AES long term (100 hrs). If I were installing these, I would consider using 2 amps and putting one sub on each channel. A pair of iTech 6000 or PL380's would be perfect at 1500w/channel which is just under the program rating. Either can be had for around $1500 used I believe so add $3000 for amps to $3600 for subs and you have some very serious sub bass for an install for $6600.

Yea I ordered one a few days ago. Currently have an alesis q49 and mpk25, and was wanting a sturdier 49key with aftertouch. Played around with one at GC to see if I liked it, keys arent as stiff/springy as an mpk, but have a good feel to them

I didnt mess with them too much at guitarcenter, was mainly just testing for the action of the keys, but I read a ton of reviews and forums on the axiom pro's and they do not have the clicky knobs on the pros, thats only the regular axioms.

So messed around with it since yesterday. Knobs are definitely not clicky, and the action on it is even better than the one I tried at GC, that one must have taken a pounding at the store. It feels like the super resistant/springyness of an mpk just toned down a bunch to just the right level. Got it to replace a cheapo alesis q49 that has like no-action keys, didnt mind it too much, and these feel just right. Still getting used to the whole hypercontrol thing, but its built-in version of 'automap' is really nice, no need to manually map stuff anymore at least in ableton since you just get it to show up on the config section of a vst and it automatically maps it to a knob

I own and use a mixer just like this and it is great if you like a 19" rackmounted mixer like I do. Pair this with one of Denon's rackmount controllers, some discontinued and you've got a great system, esp. for mobile DJ's.

Matrix input selectors make this mixer esp. useful for connecting a variety of sources. Adjustable mic talkover function great when you want to keep music level where you want it when using the mic.

I would recommend buying, then immediately reselling everything but cables needed, the speakers and the microphone. The snake and mixer would depend on your needs but I wouldn't use the mixer for anything beyond backup. Between the snake and mixer, you could probably get around $100 or more (depending on how long the snake is) The microphone would run around $60 used so you're really looking at about $660 for a pair of decent powered speakers.

I've heard Rodec makes great mixers and if I were in the market, I would seriously consider this one. Actually, if I were buying a Rodec, I would probably be looking to the mx3000 with 8 channels and 19" rack mount form factor, so it could double as a small live sound mixer. Even if pioneer is coming out with a better model, (which I also thought of), HDJ-2000 for 140.00 is a steal! Besides, how mush better can the new models be? Wireless? Cant get much better sound quality. And even if they get better in every way, they will still be $400.00.
