What cdjs/turntables are you using? Did you ground the turntables correctly? It may also be an issue with the cables/crossfader. I use a Pioneer DJM-400 which is relatively inexpensive (300-400) and is well-rounded for just about everything.

my current setup is 2 audio technica lp120 turntables (they dont have a ground wire) numark m2 2 channel mixer and a audio 4 DJ pumping Traktor scratch 2.. the cables.. are all just standard cables i picked up at guitar center (dont know too much about cables).
Sounds like a worn out crossfader.
You could buy a replacement cheaply.
Or stop using the crossfader (put it in the middle) and just use the upfaders.
Eventually you will want to replace that mixer with something better...
