Hey Guys - I had an AA QD5 as a mixer but it broke down. What's best budget mixer (max $250) for mixing top 40 and house music? I have two TTurntables and a X1 Controller. Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you.

Hey there!

You have tons of options. You can get either new or second hand mixers for that price. You wont be able to find the most up to date mixer loaded with all of the fancy effects processing and stuff like that but you will be able to find something.

You have an X1 which tells me you use Traktor. How many channels on the mixer do you need?

Here is a simple list:

Behringer DJX750
Numark M2
Numark DXM06
Numark M4

If it was me i would get this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Korg-KM-202-2-Channel-DJ-Mixer-with-KAOSS-Pad-/251146294875?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a797c565b

Very cool beginner mixer with a KAOSS pad built in for effects! And it will fit under your budget

DO NOT get the Behringer DJX750, its trash.

What i would recommend

Behringer DDM4000
Xone 22
DJM 400
You might even be able to snag a DJM500 for about 300

I have the DDM4000 and for the price its unbeatable

Denon DNX120 or DNX100...basically the same mixer except the 100 has curve adjustments for each fader, and line fader reverse
