CDJ's question, thanks

I have a question about djing with cdj's, every pair of cdj's i've seen has a djm with it. do you need a djm to use the cdj's? Right now I'm djing off an apc40 but want a pair of cdj's to go with it. Everything I'm doing is through abelton so no dj software. Like the 350's for example don't need a audio interface so why have a djm if I already have another controller for fx etc. Thanks this question has been bothering me.

no you don't need a DJM. any mixer will do.

The only advantage to having a recent pair of CDJs along with a recent DJM is rekordbox and quantize. But no, you don't have to have a DJM to use CDJs :P
