hey guys. new to this forum. i mix a bit of house music at home and want to move from cdjs and mixer to digital with a laptop and traktor pro. any suggestions for the best 4 channel digital dj controller out there? traktor S4 or VCI-400? any good others? for me the more buttons & knobs, the better so i can customise functions more. feel free to discuss.

In my opinion, the S4 has enough buttons for all the effects. If you don't like how it works with the stock mapping, there's a bunch of downloadable ones where you can utilize the effects more. I personally got the S4 because of the ability to add timecode/turntables to it. It makes it for one hell of a versatile set up.

Welcome to DJF to both of you!

IMHO, if you're a Traktor user, you should look at both the S4 and the VCI-400. If you are planning to remap, I think that the VCI has the edge. If you're looking at adding CDJs and/or TTs, I think the S4 has the edge.

For other readers, if you're looking at ITCH, the NS6 and VCI-380 seem to be the way most go.

It's a great time to use controllers... there are SOOO many great choices!
