Hi guys,
I'm re-designing the hire packages that i have and have to sort out the DJ package. What do you guys need/want in a package? The base package consists of:
- 4 x VRX932LAP
- 4 x VRX918SP
- 1 x Soundcraft EFX8 mixer
- 1 x SM58
- 2 x ULX Wireless systems w/Beta87A's
As for lighting i'm not to sure what i'm going to do...
What do you guys want/like/need? I'm not bothering with a power conditioner because the power supply here in aus is pretty decent. I'm thinking about putting in a DBX Driverack PA+ with a locked in compressor for piece of mind...
Windspeed,
Crickets are chirping because we really don't have many DJs in this forum who do large-scale road shows or "Raves" (as they are called in US).
My system is basically a "dialed down" version of yours: It uses high-quality JBL components in lightweight enclosures with integrated Class D Crown amplifiers:
2 PRX 512m
1 PRX 718s
back-ups: 2 Eon 10 g2, 1 Eon 518s subwoofer
Mixer = Rane MP-44
CD Deck = Denon DND-9000 + Denon DN-2600F (4 trays total)
Mics = Sennheiser EW-122 g2 (lapel mic) + EW-135 g2 (Handheld cordless mic)
Processing - BBE 882

We do PA for 3 school's Graduation. Used a similar set up. 3 school 3 days. $15000.
If schools werent so tight I would charge $20000.

My rig is much smaller scale. 2x Peavey PR15s over 2x Peavey SP118X's. Yamaha MW12 mixer (I'd love to use the Peavey MDIIB to keep the brands matched, but it doesn't fit the rack). I'm looking for reliable power (had a lead on a pair of PV-1.3Ks, but not sure if they're still available.)

I own the PRX 718s and from what I've gathered -- the built-in Crown amplifier has 1000 watts on the 618s-XLF, its only 800 watts on 718s.
