I've got an MK3D that needs a pitch readjustment (it currently drifts all over the place). I've seen a video on how to readjust MK2's but when trying it out was unsuccessful. Anyone got any tidbits on how to return the Pitch to factory standards?
Thanks in advance.

Calibrating the MK3D/M3D/MK5/MK6 pitch are just the same as the MK2/MK3. How old is your deck?

About 10 years old.

About 10 years old.

10 years old and the pitch have not been replaced yet? If the carbon on the board and the brush are still okay, then they may still be calibrated but will be impossible to calibrate them back to factory setting because they are too old and I assume, over used.

I had this problem with my M3D as well. Zero wasn't zero and it would fluctuate. So I bought the pitch fader off of ebay for like $20 and replaced it myself. Its pretty easy but takes a little confidence to really get in there and replace it.

The gain settings are different. 2.7kOhm for the MK2 and 2.875kOhm for the M3D and later models.

I just replaced a buddy of mines pitch controls. Did both. They haven't been replaced in 10 years and when I opened them up it was all kinds of liquid on the board. Now his shit is good.

Got another set of 12's I'm about to custom that both need new pitch controls.

W can say its easy to do and calibrate, but we have experience at it. Bit like you said out didn't work out for you.
