So i just sold my technics, and going with CDJ900s. But I need the dicers to work! and if you put them by the pitch slider, especially the right deck really gets in the way for the common pitch bend technique.

Anyone has their own creative way with pics on how they placed their dicers? If not I will have to think of something out of the box. I will be using rane sixty one with cdj 900s. If i can't figure anything out, i might just go the extra mile and get the rane sixty two, but i really don't want to go that way, i love the dicers.

A mate of mine puts his up by the beat loops/hot cues (depending on model) but I always have mine in the standard place and just adjust the way I bitch bend on the jog wheel - not hard at all.

yeh that is one option, i might think of something different and make a tiny lil arm that i could mount the dicers hovering over the cdjs towards the back corner. or over the mixer by the laptop stand. Gotta figure it out. Or hopefully someone posts something cool

I just keep mine to the side of my CDJ :-( I'm on the same boat. I came from Technics where they fit easily in the table. I'll try the dicers out near the pitch control as the picture shows.

I know a couple of guys who put them on their macbooks in the space to the left/right of the trackpad. It's definitely better than having to use the keyboard for shortcuts etc, but part of the beauty of Dicers (to me) is having them on the actual deck so you don't have to touch your laptop at all...

If you are using a CDJ 900...couldn't you just re assign the auto loop buttons to do what a dicer does?

no you unfortunately can't change the HID mapping, if you could that would be amazing

My Dicers sits perfectly on my 1200s. But I also bring them along together with my X1 during gigs. I was thinking of doing something like this in case there are no turntables and only CDJs are available. Wires are kept inside the case and only the USB cable will be seen.

Dicers should be removable so I can place it back on 1200s.

But can also be custom fixed like this for those who want it permanent.

What do you guys think? :)

it's a cool idea. i like it. but you also could always place them on the CDJs as they were intended couldn't you?

Yeah but not all CDJs have that space like the Pioneer 350/400 and Denons. Also as the OP has stated, the Dicers tend to get in the way when placed on the 800/850/1000/900/2000. I think it'll be ideal to place that custom case in front of the mixer. :)

ah yes you are right. when i think of CDJs used for playing in clubs i tend to think of pioneer ones (1000, 900, 2000). well in that case it would be neat to have them seperate.

well I think this will be perfect, not best looking placement but the most efficient and practical. Right next to the loops.

Unless i get the 62. I hear you can get them 1600 brand new from dealer! I gotta see how much the 61 goes for lowest.

I need to come up with a way to put them on TTXs. I'm thinking maybe velcro will work.

I used the sticky putty to mount them above the line/phono switch on my pioneer djm 800. I'm not sure you would have room to do that on the rane mixer though.
