The 1600 looks like a beast. Id love to get it and then sell my audio 10 and use JUST my mixer, however if I travel out, I can not use my mixer....all the time. So the audio 10 would be great to have...hmm

the 850 looks pimp but idk.

I want a new mixer and one that could work with traktor so I can stick straight to the mixer but there are lots of options and i am so picky!

anyone? help?

From Pioneer's Website:

"The DJM-850 offers compatibility to the Scratch Control (DVS) with Native Instrument's TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2/DUO 2 software. Using the timecode disc bundled with the software and a PC, the DJM-850 is ready for scratch control (DVS) with a CDJ player or Vinyl turntable."

the 850 has a traktor scratch certified sound card in it, just FYI :)

I chose my DN-X1600 over the DJM-800 for a few reasons. First, it is way cheaper. Nearly half the price when comparing used ones. Second, it has convenient midi-layers. While both are fully midi mappable, I don't think the DJM can let you switch back and forth between midi and mixing with the EQ save and soft takeover that the 1600 has. The dedicated midi strip on the 1600 is nice too. In the end, it mainly came down to price. I was able to find the Denon for 760 while any 850 I looked at was at least 1350.

realistically, if you can do without the pio colour fx, everything else about the x1600 is on par or better. cue, mic, fx, in/out and digital soundcard is on par. better faders, better midi implementation and matrix input.
