At first I was stuck on the rane 62 but after further research I liked the denon dn-x600 but it was no traktor scratch pro certified :(

So Pioneer DJM-T1 or comparable two channel mixer ? That has built in soundcard! No rane 57sl I'd rather not 16 bit

I'm leaning towards traktor because it is more Mac and windows friendly

How is Traktor more Mac and Windows friendly?

The Rane 61 is another good mixer option.

I don't think the T1 is a very good choice for overall value.

I have never really liked Pioneer Gear - seems like high-end home stuff, not truly professional in terms of build quality or sound quality.

Besides the rane 57sl 61 & 62 and the pioneer djm-t1 which mixers have built in soundcards?

Does any Allen Heath mixers have built in soundcards?

The X600 is not officially Traktor Scratch Certified, but you can use the same drivers as the X1600 on your computer to use it with Traktor DVS. It will work...

If your home is fabric, amnesia, or any house that can hold 70,000 people in their basement, yes, then your statement is true.

I actually think this mixer is a steal, reminds me when the DJM 707 dropped from $800 to $300, but in this case, the mixer dropped from $2000ish to about $900.

The mixer is pretty sick actually.

I'm very curious about DJM-T1 also. I really like DJM707 and I have 2 of them (+one for spare parts).

There are only three 2 channel mixers with Traktor Scratch Certification: Denon DNX600 (not official, but works I've heard), Pioneer DJM-T1 (also lots of midi buttons and functions) and Mackie D.2Pro (with GREAT Infinium crossfader).

Just need to point out that the DNX600 working unofficially is only for the Windows version of Traktor; OSX detects it as a distinct mixer and Traktor won't let you timecode on it with a Mac. I was impressed by Tyra From Saigon's mini review on the T1 but it's just way too expensive for me and my purposes. Given an unlimited budget, I'd have one in the lab for sure. The Infinium was the only good part of the d.2. My d.2Pro worked for no more than two weeks of sparse use before I had to send it in for warranty - and it was never fixed. Mackie (LOUD) really screwed the pooch on support.

Will the dx600 function in osx 5.8 if the dx1600 drivers are installed?

Will traktor scratch work as long as 1600 is installed and selected?

Korg zero4, ecler evo5, xone 3d. These are all under a grand. Not gonna be easy, but you can find it.

The djm-t1 is actually the cheapest mixer with DVS you can buy.

Its only 799 MSRP. You can probably get it for around 700-750. Its half the price of the rane 61.

$700 from right here but I cannot say I've ever ordered from them. They say they are located in Malaysia so there is all that which may matter if you gotta return it.

Other retailers have it at $850 :(

Looks like a pretty sketchy site.

Edit: That's the same site that is selling a 900NXS Limited Edition White for $1,000. (http://techniquescity.com/Pioneer-DJM-900nexus-White-Limited-4-Channel-Professional-DJ-Mixer.html?utm_source=google-shopping&utm_medium=organic)..

The DJM-T1 had a big price drop a few months back, I picked one up brand new for 799.00. So far it's been a very good mixer, build quality is great, sound quality is excellent and the built in Kontrol X1 is gravy.

Using the X1 with other mixers always bothered me because i like things central. The T1 solves that.
