Just saw this on What Hi-Fi and couldn't find a thread about them so thought I would post it up:

What are people opinions? Personally I didn’t expect to see any new vinyl decks being released and am quite surprised that anyone would release these at retail of £500 as I wouldn’t have thought there was a market for vinyl decks outside of technics and budget seeking newbies.

Having said that, the inclusion of USB on a high end turntable is a good idea.

It's not exactly a new deck, it's another branding of the Super OEM (http://aboutdj.nl/reviews/10-draaitafels/232-synq-xtrm1-etc-english-version-of-the-review.html) table. If I had to buy a pair of turntables they would definitely be Super OEMs.

The USB output is bound to be no more than a gimmick. It's very unlikely that the preamp or ADC will be of decent quality.

yep, internally not all that different from lets say a ST150

I found that the ST150 had several different PCBs compared to a Citronic PD45. Bear in mind that the PD45 doesn't have key correction or a preamp which explains some of the difference. The main thing I found was that the PCB with the pitch fader was different (remember that a ST150 has different pitch ranges to the other Super OEMs). The Stanton's PCB was double sided with surface mount components, which made replacing the pitch fader a bitch. Changing a fader in a PD45 would be much simpler as the PCB is single sided. That, plus a few other reasons, make me prefer the PD45 over the ST150.
