After an awesome off-topic thread about Synthesia, I have decided to dust off my keyboard and hook it up to my PC. I have been searching for midi to usb cables, however the prices seem to vary from $5 to 50$. Some say that they notice latency issues and others report the cables not working at all. For those here who have purchased such a cable, what would you recommend?
