Looking to upgrade from my Hercules RMX to some Technics and i saw some that said that they were internally grounded...is this a plus?

Yeah, if it's done correct. Internal grounding jus makes it so there isn't an extra little cable that could snag and break. I did it to one of my old 1200MK2s and it worked just fine, no buzz/feedback. I would do them to my M3Ds, but I vowed to myself to keep them factory OEM. :)

They are not grounded from factory, it's a modification. That mod it's more like a combo of grounding it + upgrading the phono cable while you're at it.

Just make sure they did a good job on the upgrade, if they did a bad solder job then the reliability and robustness of your tables might suffer. Taking tables to gigs regularly puts it through some good bumps and vibrations, the connection could loosen if the soldering job was half assed.
