I am very new to the DJ world and bought a pair of beats mixr headphones, and to say the least they suck for the price tag and are unbelievably uncomfortable. I am returning them today at my work place and we are receiving our new shipment, in that shipment is the audio technica ANC27 for $99 Would these be a good buy over the beats? or just order sennheisers online? and if so what model of sennheiser would you recommend?

Sorry if this has been asked many times, I did a search and not much to work with on that. Thanks for any help!

i love my sennheiser hd25II headphones, but you'll have to double your budget to buy the HD25II brand new.

i don't have any experience with audio technica products. the senns i mentioned run for $199.99 pretty much everywhere when purchased brand new. i love mine. the only headphones i've used before are the ultrasone dj1 pro headphones.

Not to muddy the waters but the Aiaiai TMA-1s are also well-reviewed, though they seem to fit a touch loose if you have a small head....

the other model we have is the audio technica Anc7b. I would imagine they are a bit better since they are more $ , but doesn't always mean that's true.

got the audio technica for an amazing price of $56! they sound just as good as the beats and are 10X more comfortable and lighter. Glad I made the switch and saved $200 haha

I've used various headphones over the years, I'd go for the Senn HD25 if you have the cash.

The ones I use don't have much for "flash appeal", so they might not turn the heads of those who need the looks. But hey, audio is audio, and you hear it, not see it haha. These ones are kind of bland in looks, but dang nice sound to em. One thing I've learned over the years though, is headphones are just like girlfriend: always gonna be making noise in your ear but some of them just don't feel right. Gotta find some that feel good, too, which is why I fell in love with these, great fit, and great sound. Just my opinion, of course. :) Happy DJ'ing!!

Out of those two, I'd go for the Sennheisers.

But, my real choice would be Beyerdynamic DT1350s ... but they are pricey!

definately Audio Technica. i have both AT and Sennheiser, and the technicas are a bit better. Sennheiser makes great cans, but you are still paying a little extra because they say Sennheiser on the side.

definately Audio Technica. i have both AT and Sennheiser, and the technicas are a bit better. Sennheiser makes great cans, but you are still paying a little extra because they say Sennheiser on the side. you should save a bit more and buy the Audio Technica ATH-M50s. they are the most highly reccomended pair of headphones on head-fi.org (basically the biggest headphone site on the web) and are $156 on amazon.
