Hey Everyone,
After learning that hard way that generic fog machines are shit and having it break after my first gig, I'm looking at purchasing something better :P.
I've had experience with Magnum 1800s and Magnum 2000s but I don't wish to spend that much on a fog machine. I'm thinking of purchasing either a Magnum 850 or a Magnum 1200.
Are these machines any good and is the 1200 that much better than the 850?
Thanks again :)

k so your using to enhance ur lighting effects or you trying create a smoke effect? IF your enhancing buy a hazer not a fog machine there 1000 times better. Otherwise if your trying to create a smoke effect then a fog machine is what you want.

I'd buy a hazer but some of the work I do is also outdoors so I don't think a hazer would cut it. So I'm looking at a fog machine.

You'd be surprised how much haze a decent hazer can chuck out, even outdoors, though the top end stuff does get expensive.
Magnum's are good little units, though I can't comment on the difference between the different sizes.

Get a concept vicount 135 lighting system - they don't advertise it, but if you send them an email they will send you the info on it, you can use it as a smoke machine or a hazer and gives the best effect. There machines were used in the Olympic opening ceremony last week as well. Will never let you down. Www.conceptsmoke.com
