Who had the Limited Edition GEMINI DJ Mixer PMX 2200 DJ JAZZY JEFF Signature Series ? I had one back in like 1996, man wish I still had it to show my kids.

I have the OG Gemini MX2200 which is THE mixer that PMX2200 was "copied" after. If I remember correctly PMX2200 was made in China, BUT MX2200 was made in Japan.
I also own DMC/Melos PMX-2pro.

That MX2200 with the wood edges was a game changer! No other mixer had the pick up and smoothness on the crossfarder like that Gemini back then. Cash Money used that mixer on his album cover and in his DMC title win. Once you got static in that crossfader though, it was a wrap.

Gemini Railglide faders (from UMX series) fit there.

Oh man. I had one of those with the wooden sides. I don't think it was a gemini though. If you listen to some of the old school hip hop productions you can hear the slight static of the crossfader.

Oh now that I think about it mine was an upgrade as it had the transformer switches. I actually used to scratch with those things.

I know, I was looking at that thing trying to figure out if it even had all the buttons/switches I would need. But they are all there. Funny. I bet it sounds better than a pioneer mixer since it is so much simpler.

DJ Scratch has several new in-the-box and never-used Gemini MX2200's. I believe he gave one of them away to Jazzy Jeff. Jeff use to keep dozens of them. When they developed static, he would just grab a new unit.

25 years ago you could buy one second hand for a hundred bucks or so. Now with Ebay and 25 years later they shouldn't cost much if you're lucky to see one.

I got mine for 1€ (+16€ for shipping). I think it was a pretty decent deal since it was in very good condition. ;)
