Hey Guys,

I purchased four mini led moving heads (Chauvet Minspot clones) and I'm having problems with one of them.

The light functions fine except one of the bolts for attaching the mounting bracket is broken. Therefore I can't mount the light on a truss.

The bolt is spinning around when it should be not moving at all, meaning that when I try to screw in the screw for the mounting bracket, I can't as the bolt just spins freely.

I have attached two pictures so you get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

What do I need to do in order to stop the bolt from spinning.

How about you break or cut off the stripped bolt and use a new one?

I would remove the nut and either epoxy/weld in a correctly tapped threaded insert, a slide-on type cage nut, or use a 'speed clip' instead. All of this is usually stocked at a real hardware store (like Ace Hardware, True Value, Do-it Best, etc), and not a big-box DIY place.
