I was thinking of picking up some CDJs and of course wanted the CDJ 2000 but are a little spendy as i already have some MK5 Techs, was looking at some used CDJ1000MK3 and its very hard to find ones in almost perfect condition (scratches and scuffs and small cosmetic stuff bothers me), so my question is if i was to find a good deal on some used that werent in the greatest looking shape but functioned 100% would it be possible to replace the face plate/plastic pieces to make it look brand spanking new, also would this be worth it or am i just better off waiting to find a pristine condition set or just save up for CDJ 2000 when the new model is announced?

You probably will not be able to find these kinds of parts anywhere... You can usually buy buttons and LED's but your best bet is to either contact Pioneer and see if they can order you these parts (although i am sure they will want you to send them in for $$$)

Or i would just head over to stlyeflip and skin them!

A few scuffs/scratches arent bad man... They are solid decks and the scuff marks wont make a difference :D

it's definitely possible and cheap enough to do, look at the parts site here and the parts diagram, the whole top shell is only like $40 or so, play cue buttons are like $10, and so on, price out what you think you would want to replace, vs what you have to pay for them and then see if it's worth it

Site: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/model.asp?modelNum=CDJ1000MK3

if you look up a part number and don't see it on the cdj1000 main page, just search in the site via the part number

The Pioneer site doesn't seem to have pictures for all (or most) of the parts. If you're not sure of what to get, this site has pictures for the corresponding parts:

the pioneer site does have a link to the parts diagram which is a picture schematic breakdown of each part, Instrumentalparts is great too, I have personally used them and had no issues
