Hey guys, my puppy chewed up the cable on my HD 25 IIs and now I need to replace it because I'm occasionally losing sound from one ear.

Obviously, one of the key features of these headphones is that all parts are replaceable and I just have to call Sennheiser.

But, I've heard I can get significantly better sound out of them if I use some other kind of cable (maybe one from a different line of headphones, I really don't know). Does anyone know what it would be? I cant remember.

He sells them over on ebay as well. Picked up a coiled red one not too long ago from him.

I have sort of a related question.

My headphone cables on my HD25's are intact but occasionally I have to wiggle one of the connections on the cup to hear audio. I'm guessing the connection may be dirty?

Is there a proper way to remove and clean the connections w/o damaging them? Do they simply pull off?
