Chauvet Mini Bar4 2.0 Use with Alternate Controller? Footpedal still work?

Just got the new model Mini Bar4. It delivers.

I need the floorpedal, but naturally the pedal offers minimal control.

I am a musician and need the footpedal for blackouts

Can I also use a simple controller like Obey 3 to give me more control, particularly the dimming function (they are brighter in 2.0, as advertised).

I am not a DJ, so I only have time to stomp on some foot switchs, but it would be nice to dim too.

That will not work. You can only use one or the other, either the foot pedal, or a DMX controller plugged into the light. Not both.

However, you can purchase an Obey 40 plugged into the 4Bar, and plug the foot pedal into the controller, which will give you the control that you want.

Essentially, the Obey 40 Controls the 4bar, but the foot pedal can send commands to the Obey 40, therefore changing the output of the Obey 40.
