Its rare that I review another site, but I am sure most of you have looked for reliable mix hosting. After using many of the free sites and even hosting my own mixes for awhile, a site called MusicV2 came along. Granted, its not free, but then again you get what you pay for. I was one of the early members in 2002, and will continue to a supporting member. Not only has the service been reliable, if I had any questions the owner of the site was quick to answer both on the musicv2 forums and on our forums.

Configuration Options:

Music V2 offers you numerous customization options as well. You start off by configuring your information (bio, influences, etc) in a painless menu, once complete there are a few options which allow you to tweak your page a bit more.

Uploading your mix is just as simple, a few clicks of the media control panel, and you are on your way.

Once your mix is uploaded, you can alter the display order, thumbnail image, tracklist etc., in your featured media section.

Other Features:

Some further features also include a myspace mix player. You can choose between two different players, and paste the code into your myspace page layout.

There also are some social feature options which include a message system, friends list, crews list, and more. We also have a crew for all of the djforums members, you can join that here.

We have even incorporated your musiv2 mixes into your djforums profile. VIP members can add their musicv2 name into an option in the user CP and directly link to their mv2 mixes. To view my djf profile and see this full screen click here.

I know there are a ton of other features and options I haven’t covered in this article, consider it a preview of just part of this great service. If you are looking for mix hosting I definitely recommend MusicV2. Overall I am 100% satisfied with this service and look forward to any upcoming changes they have in the future.
